Lost Recordings of 2009 Revealed!

After some recent improvements in how we plan to record, extract, and distribute our shows, we finally have the ability to dig into a large pile of memory cards filled with 2009 shows that we never uploaded. This means that over the course of the next few weeks, we will be updating our archive.org site with many of the festivals and bar shows from 2009 that you’ve been dying to hear. We are so excited!

Some of the recordings to expect are classic shows from “year one,” including the second set of Cosmic Jam, the entire Blackwater Falls Weekend Getaway, the Potluck Picnic, Jester Fest, and the Harvest Celebration. There is even a recording from one of our November 2008 “Thursday Nights at the Arena” in State College. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll rock out. We promise.

Also expect an improvement in sound quality and more frequent uploads of shows from now on. So, as we reveal these lost shows one by one, they will be updated on our Archive.org RSS feed on the right side bar of this website.

Back on Track

Do we really need any more train puns? Nope. But we did need a new website, and here it is! You found it. Behold it’s many wonderful features…

Mysterytrain is now fully uploaded to Archive.org, where we will be hosting our music from now on. All shows since the first sound check are available. Every section of the old site has been migrated over and updated, including new lyrics, gear, a band bio, photos, videos, and more! And don’t forget to check us out on Facebook, Myspace, Rockpage, and Jambase. Everywhere you go, there we are!

New Material

We are pulling together a bunch of new material during the cold upcoming months. Check out our bar shows and catch the progress of the new songs.

We have a few special shows coming up as well. Halloween and New Years Eve are a few dates to look forward to if you’re diggin’ the Mysterytrain vibe.

In closing, we have always felt that you are the show. You have made the summer of 2009 truly unforgettable for our band. Thank you.
